This is the author's very personal story of her "search for everything across Italy, India and Indonesia". Each country that she visits has something special waiting for her, and it becomes a rewarding year of self-discovery and healing. Elizabeth Gilbert has an informal style of writing (conversational) that I enjoy very much. There is plenty of humour sprinkled throughout the book as well as wonderful insights into the major questions of life. She is direct and honest about her experiences, and it is a book I wouldn't mind having on my bookshelf. I borrowed this particular copy from the library.
