A Book and a TV Mini Series

I am currently reading Ken Follett's The Pillars Of The Earth.  It has been sitting on my book shelf  for a few years now.  I acquired it from someone who had left it here at some point in time.  What spurred me on to pick it up and begin reading were the previews on TV (CBC) for the mini series airing in January.   It occurred to me that I had seen the book somewhere, nicely shelved and unread (by me).  I am enjoying it immensely, and hoping to have a good chunk of it finished by the start date of the mini series, January 4th.

On a recent trip to the city to do some last minute Christmas shopping I saw this sign as we were driving past:

If you see someone without a smile, give him or her yours.

Have a safe and Merry Christmas!  Happy Holidays!
