My husband was wondering if I would like this book when he chose it for one of my Christmas presents.  He needn't have worried.  

These are extraordinary stories.  There is an edge to them, an element of danger  (two of the stories depict daredevil activities), but what held me throughout were the people in each story who could just as easily be anyone of us.  Highly recommended adult reading.
